The 8438 was only one CSX painted engine that ever receive "WM" reporting marks, it was painted somethimg between 09/86 ans 09/87, approximately a year later the "WM"" was painted out (1988). In fact 8438 was the last of the this paint scheme to last on CSX [as #4621] and retired in the late 2000s, It was renumbered 4621 (early 1990s) and with a yellow nose added later. |
